SHIPPING FAQ'S
Air Plant City ships and guarantees shipment only within the continental United States
NOTE: This policy has been in effect since the beginning of my business. As stated on my home page, if you believe you can receive product then I will attempt the delivery but CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF CUSTOMS REFUSES THE DELIVERY. NO REFUNDS are available since I Lose the plants and the shipping cost.
SPRING/SUMMER SHIPPING IS IN EFFECT.
I am now shipping almost daily. If your weather is an issue, please notify me via email or seller instruction on your order.
It takes approximately 10 days to receive your order. Sometimes within a week but only under optimum conditions. I will always ship asap and special arrangements can be made to get your product to you faster. Just notify me if there are special requirements.
NOTE: Since the Death of My Son on July 4th 2009, My shipping was a little slower. Things are back to some sort of normalcy and I want to thank all of my customers for their patience and words of encouragement.
Due to the live nature of your product order, please know that shipping is affected by the weather here. I also watch weather reports elsewhere in the country. I may ship later if the weather is very bad in your area. Please be patient as I want to ensure you receive Happy, Healthy Air Plants
There are times when substitutions will be made, Subs will be of greater value and as similar as I can provide. If I have to sub more than 2 plants, you will be notified for permission. I do not back order individual plants.
All plants will be hydrated before shipping and packaged to prevent damage. I use plastic bags for packing. I do this for many reasons including weight, flexibility, and insulation. Please Recycle.
A care sheet will be included and we will be available to answer any concerns that you have after your plants arrive.
$6.50 FLAT RATE SHIPPING IS IN EFFECT. We ship "Priority Mail" USPS. I do not charge Handling or box fees and this is my average shipping cost. We also strongly suggest you request insurance. I can not be responsible for lost shipments nor broken or damaged shells, plants or accessories due to shipping. You can add insurance during the payment process.
Although we ship only healthy, high quality plants, it is important to remember that they are not perfect (nor is any living thing). Minor leaf imperfections are normal; leaves that have imperfections or are broken can be safely trimmed away with sissors. It is also normal for Tillandsia to lose the bottom leaves when acclimating to their new environment. These leaves can be trimmed off along with long roots I have missed if you desire. If you want the roots left on for mounting, please notify me in the "Notes to seller"

UPON ARRIVAL...
When you receive our plants, please remove from the shipping package and soak for 30 minutes. Soaking upside down will insure that the tips also receive water and the bulbous section will not be over watered. Place in bright light and allow to dry. Do not fertilize plants for 3 weeks following their arrival but be sure to follow directions for Light and Water.
A NOTE: Soaking is Preferably in non-tap water so start collecting rain water now while waiting for your shipment. Pond or aquarium water is excellent as well. If this is not possible then fill a cooler or other container with tap water and place in an outside area with the top open to sunlight and weather. Before the plants arrive bring inside to bring back to inside temps. Use this to soak your plants, adding fresh water and a bit of fertilizer monthly. See the Plant Care page.
